Eric Ly is a co-founder and CEO of Hub, Human Trust Protocol, a protocol that creates second party trust on blockchain. Prior to this, he was a Founder and CEO at Presdo. Prior to this, Eric served as the Founding Chief Technology Officer at Linkedin Corporation until July 2, 2007. He also served as a Vice President of Desktop at the firm and was the firm's Co-Founder. While at the firm for more than three years, he helped the firm create a rapidly-growing member base and achieve profitability, while creating some of the core capabilities of the service.
Previously, he served as the CTO and Founder of Netmosphere. He also served as the President and Co-founder at Tresidder Networks and has held software engineering positions at Sun Microsystems, General Magic, Stanford University, NeXT, and IBM, where he participated in several seminal projects at these companies. Eric was a Venture Advisor of United States at Wellington Partners Venture Capital GmbH since he joined in 2008. He is an Advisor at Eight Partners. He serves as an Advisor of Investing at Sway Ventures. He is a Member of Honorary Advisory Board of SparkLabs Beijing. Eric holds an M.S. in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT Media Lab and an graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University with a B.S. in Symbolic Systems.
